Daniel R. Blanc

Bloomfield, NY:  Born 2/17/1960 to Bob and Toni Blanc (Perry). Passed peacefully after a brief illness 2/11/2018 at the age of 57. Predeceased by paternal grandparents, Thomas & Rita Blanc; maternal grandparents, Anthony & Stacia Kowasz; step-son, Justin Lloyd; Survived by his loving wife, Diane (Prouty) Blanc; children: Jessica (Texas); Adam (Perinton); Morgan (Alabama); step-son, Shawn Prouty (Honeoye Falls); brother, Chris (Warsaw); Sister, Jenny (Mike) Smith (Warsaw); Sister, Kim (Jeff) Jackson (Perry); Aunts, Stacia (Donald) Brown (Silver Springs); Maxine Slocum (Perry); Jean Blanc (York); Darlene Blanc (Florida); Cathy Blanc (Texas). Dan attended Warsaw High School, was a farmer for many years and worked at American Rock Salt (Akzo) for almost 40 years. He loved his hunting and was a “dead eye” varmin hunter. Dan was a Life Member of the West Bloomfield Fire Department and a member of the Lima Sons of the American Legion Squadron 282 and the American Legion Riders Chapter 282. He was an avid member of the Farmall Collector Club. A Celebration of Life for family and friends will take place on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 11:00 am at the West Bloomfield Congregational Church, 9035 Rt 5, West Bloomfield 14585. Following the service, a luncheon will be served at the Lima American Legion Post in West Bloomfield (2475 Rt 65, Bloomfield 14469). In lieu of flowers, donations made be made to the Lima Sons of the American Legion Squadron 282 in his memory.
