Spencerport, NY: David D. Oremus went to be with our Lord on December 4, 2019 at the age of 85. David was employed by Eastman Kodak for many years. Upon retirement he began woodcarving. He was a very talented artist, specializing in life like renderings of birds.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Carol Corcoran Oremus and his beloved daughter, Mary Ellen Oremus Serafine. He is survived by his son John and his wife Krista, his dearly loved grandchildren, Jennifer Oremus, Sarah Oremus and Maxwell Serafine. He is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephew, neighbors and friends. He will be dearly missed.
The Oremus family has entrusted arrangements to Rochester Cremations. There will be no calling hours and per his wishes, a service at St. John the Evangelist Church and celebration of David’s life will be held in the spring.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to a charity of your choice.
I knew David from the Ogden senior center and enjoyed talking about birds. He was a delightful man. I’ll miss our conversations.
I knew David when he was in service in Georgia in 1958. He was a very nice young man that I liked. Sorry for your loss.
