Irondequoit NY: Passed peacefully April 30, 2017 at 75. Predeceased by his parents Wells and Madeline and nephew Andrew. Survived by his sister Patricia (David) Markham and brother Richard (Gale) Decker, nephews and nieces, Jennifer (Kevin) Markham-Wynn, Evan, Brady and Leah Wynn, Katherine Markham, Sandra (Adam) Steinmetz, Vincent, Nicholas and Patrick Gingello; Brittney, Ashley, and Brandon Decker.
David a former science and physics teacher at Hilton High School in the 60’s and early 70’s moved to Virginia to manage quality control the paper packaging industry and to pursue is life long dream of studying the Civil War battlefields and collecting memorabilia. David moved back home in retirement and was an avid reader who loved to spend time with his family and many nieces and nephews. David and his many stories will be dearly missed by his loved ones.
The family wishes to thank all of his care givers over the past six months, especially, those at RGH for their caring and compassion in his final days.

He had the greatest WW2 German gun collection of all types and was a great man.
