I was very fortunate to have worked with Dave many years ago at Gleason Works. He was one of the people that made it a great place to work. Now I see his son, Jason, at Xerox, I see the same friendliness, dedication, and hard work ethic that Dave had. Please accept my sincere condolences.

Condolences to Aunt Margaret, Nancy and family of cousin David. Aunt Margaret was my dad, John Haberer’s older sister and was very kind to me and my syblings, Tobi, Beth and Jack when we were young children. Though we lost touch with David, we want you all to know that you are all in our prayers for God’s comfort in this time of loss. May the peace of Christ be with you all.
    Love and blessings,
    Geoff, Peg and Heleena Haberer

Dave and I met many years ago when we started college at Alfred State. We and other friends, Jim and Davey, performed many antics then that Monica says if kids did this stuff now, they would be in jail!
1.) We liked to experiment with high voltage. Once we tried to electrify our door knob.
2.) I remember eating Black Turtle Bean Soup that his Mom made, quite good!
3.) We had many euchre games. When Dave was my partner, he always knew what was in my hand.
I once visited Dave at his home in Pavillion. His foot was in a cast, but we still went out behind the barn to shoot crows. We didn’t see any until all the shells were gone.
Since our reunion in 2000, Dave, Jim & Cecilia Metz, and Monica & myself meet every other summer for a week vacation at Allegany State Park. I remember one-time Dave popped open a beer and he swears there was a bee in the can. This was not the first beer! Every time we would remember something else we shared at college. Also, Dave was the king of making campfires while we were there!!
Dave was my best man at our wedding. When we were ready to leave the reception, our license plates were missing. I wonder who could have done that????
We will miss Dave. He was a good friend, a great husband, a wonderful father and the best Grandpa. He had a big heart and helped whenever he could.
Dave is in a good place now. I can just see him sitting in the clouds, playing his guitar and singing his songs!
God will bless him many times!
    I love you Dave!
