Cheri, I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. I pray for you and the kids every day.
And every time I think of Derek, I remember the sound of his laughter. He was always unapologetically himself. He was a carefree, adrenaline seeking, boisterous person who took over any room he walked into. He lived his best life and we were blessed that we were part of his world. He is your angel and he’s always with you.
Derek would want us to laugh about all.the great times and tell those stories to McKenna and Cam. And in his honor, that’s what we will.do.
Derek, fly high and be good up there! See you on the flip side and I love you!

This is a hard one especially finding out too late to make it to your cremation. But I will really miss you brother, all the respect in the world for fighting tooth and nail till the very last minute. I will forever value the memories we shared and good times. You will always be one of the nicest, realist dudes I have ever met!
