Donna Zavaglia Baker

Donna Baker - Rochester Cremation

Surrounded by her loving family, Donna Zavaglia Baker peacefully went home to be with the Lord on January 13, 2023, six days after her 65th birthday. She is predeceased by her much loved son William (Billy) Baker Jr, his father William (Billy) Baker Sr, her parents, Frank and Nancy Zavaglia and her in-laws Verlon and Stella Baker. She is survived by her adored granddaughter Marissa (Adam) Rich, great grandchildren Lorenzo and Nicolette, her sisters Debbie (Ed) Slocum, Susan (Eric) Leonhardt, Sandra Chennell, brother-in-law Robert (Laura) Baker Sr., her Aunt Virginia Pulitano, many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins dear to her heart, Billy’s soul mate and Donna’s dear friend Sonya Ostrander and many friends who were like family to her.

Donna was a devoted dental assistant at Aspen Dental for many years. She had a charismatic personality and people wouldn’t have to know her long before they too became part of her caring life. If you needed something and she had it, she would gladly hand it over even if it was her last one.

A special thank you to her Gateway family who helped her over the past few years. Per Donna’s wishes there will be no services at this time.

Donna was a very sweet person who enjoyed life to the fullest. She was always the life of the party always making me laugh a day with Donna and all of your worries were set aside. The Zavaglia sisters had a tight bond always there for each other and others. I will miss Donnas text messages even though it was hard for her to get around in that message she always made me smile. You will be missed my beautiful cousin❤️🙏 love Sharon

I have been so lost for words since I received the news that my Dear Donna aka; “Momma Bear” passed on from this life. I’ve cried over the thought of ever losing her, & now that time is upon me. I am very sad that we won’t be able to continue sharing our lives here on this earthly plain. Donna has been one of the most important people to me in my entire life. We supported each other through the loss of our sweet Billy & as she called him, “Willy”. We became such close friends over all of these years & all I can really say right now is that my heart is very saddened by such a loss of a beautiful woman, both inside & out! She was definitely very charismatic with the kindest, most loving, thoughtful & forgiving heart. Her faith in God was very strong & I always admired her for how she accepted the loss of her son with such grace. I can write such a long list of all of the reasons she was such a wonderful person… but in summary… she was just sooo Full of Love & Joy & she shared this with everyone around her. I just know she is seated in the Heavens with Jesus & one day soon we will be together again. I just pray for that peace & comfort to be able to make it through to the end of my own life without her here. She will be forever missed by my family; as she touched their lives in so many ways; by her strength & her presence which brought them much joy & peace. I will always keep her close to my heart. And I will be reminded of how she taught me so much about what Love truly means… by her living example… as a Christian woman. I will always strive to become a better person, such as she was. And I thank Billy for being the reason we had each other to be a comfort & a friend; such a lovely gift! I will always Love the both of them with all of my heart & soul. And now after all of this time gone by… they can be together again ♡.
Rest in Peace my Dear friend Donna♡♡♡ Love You!!! ~Sonya♡♡♡
