Doris J. Rossiter, age 64, of East Rochester, NY, died Thursday, November 2, 2023 after a long illness.
Doris was born in Rochester NY on March 26, 1959, to Raymond and Marian Rossiter of Churchville NY and was the sixth of eight children in the Rossiter Family. Doris was a devoted partner, mother, grandmother (Nana), sister and friend to many. She was a licensed massage therapist in Fairport, NY and was beloved by many of her clients.
Doris was one of a kind with her strong will and straight forward attitude. She lived life on her terms and those around her loved her for it. She was also kind, deeply caring and thoughtful. Her family and friends meant everything to Doris and being “Nana” was a true bright spot in her life.
Doris is predeceased by her parents Raymond and Marian Rossiter and her son Jason Watkins. She is survived by her partner Robert Hilbert, and daughter Shauna Watkins. Grandchildren, JJ Watkins, Kennedy Watkins, Jacob Watkins. Sisters and Brother Sue Ann (John) McGill; Linda (Ross) Baglio; Donna (Dave) Pigott; Carol (Russ) Long; Rita (Murph) O’Brien; Ray (Kevin) Rossiter; Cindy Kohl. Many nieces, nephews, cousins, and cherished friends.
A private cemetery service is being held on Thursday, November 16 at 1:00 at Creekside Cemetery, Churchville NY.
A Celebration of Life is planned for 2024 and information will be forthcoming.
