Duane John Charache, age 38 passed away peacefully on November 3, 2021 from a traumatic brain injury following a bicycle accident on August 15th. He is survived by his parents Harry (Jen) Charache of Portsmouth, NH, and Susan (Joseph) Barlog of Rochester, NY, his wife Leah, his children; Kayda, Ethan, Quentin & Amelia, his siblings; Sonya (Chad Gilbert) Charache, Joshua (Kameko) Barlog & Sage Charache, his step brother Mitchell Byrne, his step sister Alexis Charache, his nephew & niece Jackson & Dallas Gilbert as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Duane was a 2002 graduate of Pavilion High School and from the Building Trades Program at BOCES. He was a craftsman by trade.
Spending time with his family, woodworking in his garage and riding his motorcycle were most important to Duane. He loved to make people happy. Everyone will miss his kind heart and big smile.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Duane’s life will be held at the Greenwood Townhomes Community Center, 31 Mulcahy Blvd., Rochester, NY, on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 2:00. Refreshments will be served immediately following.
Any donations will be placed in a college fund for Duane’s children.
