COZZARIN, Elaine Marie. Went to her final rest in Rochester, NY – Feb 1, 2022, age 76. Loving mother of Michael (Diane) and Linda (Ron) Andreano. Grandma ‘Laine to Mary, Joseph, and John Andreano. Sister to the late Eugene (Marlene), Virgil (late Virginia), Joseph, and Thomas (Jeanne). Predeceased by beloved parents Virgil and Margaret Cozzarin.
Elaine retired from a distinguished 37 year career in retail and hospital Pharmacy, having served 12 years as the Director of Pharmacy of the former Lakeside Memorial Hospital in Brockport, NY, and previously serving Kenmore Mercy Hospital, and Mount St. Mary’s Hospital in Lewiston, NY. Elaine was passionate about sharing knowledge, as adjunct faculty (Preceptor of the Year, 1990) for the University of Buffalo School of Pharmacy, and as mentor for many up & coming professionals in the field of Hospital Pharmacy. Elaine remained an active member, Past President, and Executive Board member of the UB Pharmacy Alumni Association and Past President of the UB Women’s Pharmacy Alumni Association. She was a Fellow of the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists, and served on the Editorial Board for the Pharmacy Law News.
A scholarship in Elaine’s honor is being created at the University of Buffalo School of Pharmacy. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation to this fund to help continue the legacy of advocacy and education that Elaine deeply valued.
Services for Elaine include a Celebration of Life gathering at NorthGate Church, 5225 Harris Hill Rd, Clarence NY on Friday, March 18, 2022 from 4-7 PM. A Catholic Mass at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 4375 Harris Hill Rd Williamsville, NY is on Saturday, March 19th at 11 AM. Following mass is a luncheon at NorthGate Church until 3 PM.
