Elaine Sue Polinsky - Rochester Cremation
October 30, 1938 – December 9, 2023

Rochester, NY: Elaine Sue Polinsky passed away peacefully on Saturday December 9, 2023, after a brief illness. Elaine (who always went by her middle name Sue) was born on October 30, 1938 in Washington DC. Sue is predeceased by her parents, Seldon and Etta Babcock, her sister Lauretta Ruth Phillips, her brother Arthur Kenyon Babcock and her daughter Lauretta Young. She is survived by her son Albert, her daughter Carol (Scott) as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Sue was a career Army veteran who obtained the US Army Rank of Master Sergeant. She travelled the world and served in Operation Desert Storm where she earned the Southwest Asia Service Medal. After retiring from the Army, she resided in Alaska for 20-years where she made many close friendships. She was a creative, fun and generous woman who loved arranging and sharing fresh flowers. She was a lifelong learner, enjoyed reading, writing poetry, painting and was always seeking new knowledge.

A memorial service to celebrate Sue’s life will be held at 2pm on Saturday January 13, 2024 in the chapel at Fleming Point, 720 Latta Road, Rochester, NY 14620.

    I was so sorry to hear about the loss of SUE POLINSKY.
    May her memories be cherished for years to come.
