Elizabeth Ann Whitehouse

June 13, 1958 – August 24, 2017

Beth Whitehouse, 59, resident of North Rose, NY passed away in the early hours of August 24th after a brave battle with cancer. She is survived by her children, Shannon Whitehouse-Klocko (and Scott Klocko), Tommy Whitehouse, and Katie Whitehouse; her grandchildren: Katie, Ben, Ali, and Charlie, her sister and brother in law, Susie and Dale Farmer and niece and nephew, Brian Farmer and Lauren Brannon and their families, her best friends Jan Soper, Jan’s son Wes Soper, and Amy & Doug Shear and many many more. To know Beth was to be her family.

Beth was born June 13th, 1958 in Hawaii to Capt. George D and Janet Stein. She grew up traveling the world as part of a Navy family. Beth was part of the first class of women accepted to the US Naval Academy. For the past 22 years Beth has been enriching students’ lives as a teaching assistant with Wayne Finger Lakes BOCES at both the Finger Lakes Tech and Wayne Tech campuses. She loved working with the students and her fellow faculty.

Beth believed in living life to the fullest and she showed it in everything she did. She had so much love in her heart and compassion for everyone and everything she met. Friends were family and strangers were friends. She loved to take adventurous road trips, to cook delicious and exciting food, to kayak and   garden, and most of all to spend time with family and friends.

Please join us as we celebrate her life this Sunday, August 27th from 2pm to 5pm at the Wolcott Elks Lodge at 6161 West Port Bay Rd in Wolcott, NY. A service will start at 3pm. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Holding Onto Hope, Inc. in Beth’s memory.

I just learned of Beth’s passing today. I was in the USNA Class of ’77, and was Beth’s platoon leader during her induction day and the first half of plebe summer at Annapolis. She was indeed a leader and pioneer as one of those first class of women at the Naval Academy.

Please accept my deepest and most sincere condolences.

    Best regards,

You and Mrs. Eaton were my teachers in BOCES (the Flint location) my 10th grade year. I’m so sorry to hear of Beths passing. My thoughts and prayers go out to her loved ones. (I hope you and Pam are having a blast up there!)
