Brighton: March 7th, 2016 died at the age of 64. Elizabeth is survived by her sister Amy (Christopher), brother Richard (Jean), and sons David and Matthew Applegate. In addition to being a loving mother and sister, Elizabeth was an avid gardener and could be found on most sunny afternoons weeding and tending her many flower beds.
She was an active member of the First Unitarian Church and enjoyed her regular meetings with the Wellspring group there. In her work as an administrative assistant in the Musical Education Department at the Eastman School of Music she helped create a welcoming and loving environment for the students, faculty, and staff.
A Memorial Service for Elizabeth will be held on April 9th at 10 am at the First Unitarian Church of Rochester, 220 South Winton Road.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Advent House.
