Esel Howard Rasor

Esel Howard Rasor, 79, of Pittsford, N. Y., died April 27, 2017 of complications from congestive heart failure, rheumatoid  arthritis and pneumonia.

She is survived by her husband, John Calvin Rasor, two sons, John Scotland, Philadelphia, PA., and Mitchell Howard, Yarmouth, ME., sister Rose Long (Clyde), Sanford, FL., Parker Howard, (Pat), Jacksonville, FL., two granddaughters , Lulu Rasor, Pie Rasor, their mother, Landis Hudson, all of Yarmouth, ME. and nephews and nieces.

A memorial service will be held June 2 at 2 p.m. at the First Unitarian Church of Rochester.

Esel was active in many community interests over the years including the Genesee  Valley Arthritis Foundation, Strong Children, the Rochester Area Foundation, Monroe Community College Foundation, Girls Scouts, GeVa Stagehands and the Four Seasons Garden Club.  She was a Friend at the First Unitarian Church of Rochester.

Her friends may choose to make a contribution in time or money to community organizations of importance to them.

    Esel was gracious, generous and loved by many. She lived with a strong spirit and a deep sense of compassion.
