We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Florence P Silcox, who was born at home on July 19, 1943 in Conquest, New York. She was of the beloved daughter of Walter H Sayre and Florence P Sayre and one of fourteen children. She is survived by sister Diana Couturier, brothers William Conlin and Harvey W Sayre.

Florence was married to Harold L Silcox Sr in 1957 and they were married for 62 yrs. Together they raised five children: Harold L Silcox Jr (spouse Patricia), Edwin A Silcox (spouse Janet) and Jenny Dewispelaere-Silcox. She was pre-deceased by 2 sons Robert A Silcox and Roger A Silcox, she was also a loving grandmother to 14 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Florence attended Red Creek School until she married early in life and went on to work at Walmart in 1992 until her retirement in 2014. In her free time, she enjoyed hobbies such as crocheting blankets and stuffed animals for her family and friends. she also enjoyed sewing, and various arts & craft projects, playing card games like rummy, euchre and Yahtzee with family and friends .

Sadly, after a brave battle Florence succumbed to cancer on October 26, 2024. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
