Ontario: March 7, 2014 at age 72, formerly of Lyons, passed away at The Leo Center for Caring, Rochester, NY, after a brief illness.
A Memorial Mass will be held at the convenience of his family.
At the request of his children, those wishing may make a memorial contribution, in his name, to Blessed Trinity Parish -Youth Ministry, 11956 Washington St., Wolcott, NY 14590, or the Cancer charity of one’s choice. Gary was born May 10, 1941 the son of the late Harry and Gladys Swarthout VanHanehan. A 1960 graduate of Clyde High School and 1962 graduate of SUNY Mooresville, he was later employed by Parker Hannifin.
He is survived by his 4 children, Donna Loren (Martin) of Newark, David (Julianne) of North Rose, Mark (Lucia) of Honolulu, HI, Brian of Lyons and their mother, MaryAnn Tricarico VanHanehan of Lyons. Also surviving are his sister, Susanna Perry (Peter Miosga) of Niagara Falls; grandchildren, Emily, Breanne, Eric and Samuel; great grandchildren, Evelyn and Leighton; and nephew, William Perry of North Carolina.

Sooo sorry to learn of Gary’s death.. I had been hoping to see him again.. If there is a service I would like to know.. Would love to hear from Sue (Suzie)..:) Sooo sorry for your loss..

p.s. I will let the rest of my family know of his death.. My brothers and sisters are all in their 80’s but Gary was only one year older than me..:) So Sue must be younger than me..??
