George David DeLucia - Rochester, NY - Rochester Cremation

Rochester, NY – Passed away on November 27, 2020 at the age 79. George is predeceased by his parents Peter and Elizabeth DeLucia, sister Carmelita Clayton, brother in-law Philip Zabriskie.  A devoted husband of 54+ years, he is survived by wife Judith (Wright) DeLucia, son Peter (Amy) DeLucia, daughter Andrea Majchrzak, sister Beverly Zabriskie, brother in-law John Clayton,  grandchildren Jessica Majchrzak, Emily DeLucia, Robbie Majchrzak, Alexander DeLucia, and Asher DeLucia, Aunt Carmel Prophet;  and several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

He was a graduate of Georgetown University and Albany Law School. He worked for several law firms in the city prior to being self-employed. Even though “retired”, right up to his passing he continued to assist his friends and long-time clients with their legal needs.

He was a proud Veteran and served as an Artillery Captain in the US Army during the 1960’s. He loved his Georgetown Hoyas and the annual trek to the Carrier Dome to watch them against the Syracuse Orangemen was always a highlight of the year.   He loved family get-togethers, cooking on the grill, playing chess, swimming in the lake, and his family. He was instrumental in the growth of the Greece Soccer Club in the 1980’s as a fan, coach, and President.

No services will be held at this time and a memorial will be held in the Spring. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Honor Flight Rochester https://honorflightrochester.org/donations/ or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society https://donate.lls.org/lls/donate
