George F. Dlugoz - Rochester, NY - Rochester Cremation

Rochester, NY: November 15, 2021 at age 76.  George is predeceased by his first wife Mariann S. Dlugoz (Sofranko), his second wife Deborah J. Dlugoz (Merritt), and his parents Joseph and Mary Dlugoz of Niagara Falls.

He is survived by his two sons Brian J. Dlugoz (Mandy J. Kralj) , Jeffrey M. Dlugoz (Vanessa L. Tuckey), his grandchildren Oliver M. Dlugoz (7) and Miles M. Dlugoz (4), and his sister Phyllis Paulk of Lewiston, NY.

George was a devoted father and husband who was always willing to help anyone in need. He worked for the Greece Central School district for over 32 years.  A beloved middle school teacher at Arcadia and Brookside, he was known to have pulled a few memorable stunts in the classroom to keep his students engaged, including cartwheeling across the room!

George was an incredibly hard worker but in his leisure time he enjoyed activities with his sons, cheering on the Yankees, and weekly poker nights. As an avid fisherman, George could always be found near the water doing what he loved most, fishing with his close friends and family.

Mr. Dlugoz was my 6th-grade teacher at Brookside from 1971 to 1972. He was a stellar man and teacher. I am sorry that he passed before I could say “thank you”.
