ROCHESTER, NY – January 25 th , 2023 at age 103. Gerry is predeceased by her loving son, James Kelly, her husband Cyril Kelly, Belle Carpenter and cousins Martha and Robert Carpenter. She is survived by her grandchildren, Amanda Everhart, and Andrew Kelly, and beloved cousins Charlie and Carla Carpenter.
Born and raised in New York City to two deaf parents, Gerry later married Cy. She attended Queens College in Queens, NY and was amongst the first female graduates. She then worked as a chemist for Dow chemical. Later, she moved to Concord, MA. She retired from the Town of Littleton after 30 years where she was an elementary school teacher. Gerry was a swimmer, music lover, and ardent reader. She enjoyed socializing and being an active member of the community at the Highlands where she resided for over 20 years. She loved animals, bird watching and Bridge.
