Glenna C. (Monson) Rodell - Rochester Cremation

Glenna C. (Monson) Rodell passed away on March 10, 2024, in Rochester, NY at the age of 69.  Glenna was born on September 13, 1954 in Avon NY.  She was a loving wife, amazing mom, and a faithful friend to many.  Glenna’s adventurous and curious nature led her into various hobbies such as reading, horse riding, crafts, and fixing computers.  At 24, she embraced her faith, trusting Jesus Christ as her Savior.  She was an active servant in the church, helping to mentor others in the faith.

Glenna is survived by her husband Alan Rodell, her children Shane, Margo, Jeremiah, and Benjamin Rodell.  She is also survived by her daughters-in-law Wendy, Janelle, Ashley, and grandchildren Austin, Shauni, Kiana, Kayleigh, Bethany, Annalyse, Chloe, Caleb, Micah, and Daisy.  She was preceded in death by her parents Stanley and Katherine Monson, brothers Bill, Elwood, Peter, and sister Eva.

Glenna Rodell served the deaf community by teaching ASL at Machi and NTID.  She began in her faith at First Bible Baptist church and continued to serve at Calvary Bible Baptist Church.  Later in life, she also attended Anchor Baptist Church.  Glenna’s hobbies included crafts, quilting, sewing, and spending time with loved ones.

Glenna faced life’s challenges with faith and determination, trusting God.  She faced death with faith in God and dignity to the end.  She told those around her that she was not alone, knowing Jesus was with her.  Her legacy of love and faith will be cherished by all who knew her.

A memorial service to celebrate Glenna’s like will be held at Walker Bible Baptist Church, 1425 Walker Lake Ontario Road, Hilton, NY 14468 on March 23, 2024 at 2pm.  ASL interpreting will be provided.  Following the service, a reception with light refreshments will be held at the church.

    My feeling toward. Sis in law Glenna was beautiful in spirit I can see her face was so glow with her smiles .. I believe Jesus was beside her thru till she go Heaven .. That is Beautitul Blessing .. She gives her family , friends and I’m happy to talk to her when she was in hosp .. it gives me spiritually w her .. love from the Bristow
