ROCHESTER, NY – May 9, 2023 at age 88. Gus is predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Jean. He is survived by children Sandra (Kevin) Cometa, Steven (Jacki) Sciarabba, John (Vincenza) Sciarabba, grandchildren Lisa (Rob), Laura (Drew), Matthew, Nicholas, Shane, and great grandchildren Everly and Jack.
He retired from Eastman Kodak after 35 years of service. Gus enjoyed his work and the people and travels it brought. Gus worked on the Lunar Orbiter that took pictures of the moon to find places for the first astronaut landing. He was an avid card player and played monthly with a group of colleagues and friends for over 50 years. Gus was a graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology and a Veteran of the United States Army having served in Korea.
Per his request, there will be no calling hours. A celebration of Gus’ life will be held at a future date.
