Ian Douglas Kerr

Ian Douglas Kerr - Rochester Cremation

Ian Douglas Kerr, 28, of Brockport, NY, passed away on February 27th, 2024. He was born on October 20, 1995 in Rochester, NY. Ian was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.

Ian was a dreamer and loveable spirit who you could always count on to make you laugh. He loved to experiment in the kitchen and enjoyed roping his mom into helping him cook his latest recipe. Whether it was helping with numerous outdoor projects, renovating bathrooms for upcoming family visits, building elaborate firework plans for everyone to enjoy, or simply chopping up wood (he really loved his Stihl chainsaws), Ian enjoyed lending a helping hand to his family and friends. He loved to spend time outdoors, had a green thumb when growing plants, and was “one hell of a horticulturist.” He could frequently be found loving on his pet rabbit Tufts, Buns, or Binky (or one of the rabbit’s many other aliases), spending time with his friends watching movies/shows, playing video/PC games, and scheming up life plans.

Ian will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His laughter, generosity, and love for life will forever be remembered. May he rest in peace.

Ian is survived by his parents Roger and Kelly Kerr, Grandma Cornish, Sisters: Jessica Kerr (Pruss), Katie Kerr (Winchester), and Leeza Kerr, nephews Dean and Cole Pruss, niece Maeve Winchester, Tufts the Bunny and many uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the family’s GoFundMe https://www.gofundme.com/f/ian-kerr-memorial-fund to help with end-of-life expenses; and contribute by sharing any memories you may have.

Thank you so much for all of your support during this tough time. The money raised is being used to purchase a memorial stone/bench. Please join us in a Celebration of Life to be held on May 13th, 2024 from 2:00-6:00pm at The Woodside Lodge at Black Creek Park (3835 Union St, North Chili, NY 14514).
