Izolde Lilly Matons - Fairport, NY - Rochester Cremation

Fairport, NY—May 2, 2020 at age 89.

Born in Jelgava, Latvia. Predeceased by her parents Elza and Arturs Matons. Survived by her loving daughter, Linda L. Matons and two lovely young men who thought of her as “Grandma,” Matthew and Luke Smith.

Lilly passed away with her daughter by her side. Lilly was the best mother and friend. She was loved by so many friends and strangers alike. She was the owner of the French Room Beauty Salon. Lilly and the neon signs that lit up her shop windows were a fixture on Monroe Avenue for over 40 years. Lilly impacted everyone she met with her exuberant demeanor, vibrant spirit, and loving soul. She will be greatly missed!

Due to the Covid-19 situation a celebration of her life will be held at a future date. Her service and cremation will be private on Tuesday May 5, 2020 at White Haven Memorial Park, 210 Marsh Road, Pittsford, NY 14534.

      So sorry for your loss, Linda. Your Mom must have been a great person to raise such a truly wonderful daughter. To this day Jake still talks about the “Grand-Beast”!
