Born: In Talladega Alabama
May 14, 1964-March 20, 2017
Rochester, NY: James is predeceased by parents Fred and Dorothy Carter also of Talladega Alabama, and niece Alicia (King) Lanni. He leaves behind to mourn his loss son James Lynndale Carter Jr., two sisters Kathy (Carter) King, Denise (Carter) Scott, and two brothers Frederick Carter, and Alfie Carter. Nine nieces and nephews Sherita King, Donisha King, Donnall King Jr., Latoya Wilson, Roshandra Carter, Frederick Carter Jr., Zachary Scott, and Monica Scott. He was the beloved great uncle of nine.
He also leaves to mourn his loss aunts Annie Mae Witherspoon, Catherine Pope, Nellie Burno, uncles Frank Howell Jr., and James Howell…and a host of loving family members and friends.
A memorial service will be held on March 25, 2017 from 1-3 pm at Angel Hills Funeral Chapel, 1125 St. Paul St., Rochester NY 14621.
I don’t really know where to start, how do you find the words to express just how deep your sorrow is. I will miss my brother’s sense of humor more than anything. Butterball could crack you up! We’ve shared so many wonderful times, for too many to recount. We’ve also shared our moments of sadness, fear, life’s disappointments…but we always got through it together.
I love him dearly, and he will always live on in my heart. RIP dear brother.
This has been a difficult time for my family. Please keep my family in your prayers. Asking God to comfort my family at this time. RIP Butterball. U will never be forgotten. Gone way to soon. Love u Cuzzn.

Oh my how am gonna miss my Cuzzin…he sure was A Funny man with such a great sense of humor…he was the life of the party and quick to jump on the grill and BBQ…he touched everyone hearts with his loss but were a strong family and we will get through this sad time in our life with the help of God family and friends we will truly miss you butterball may you R.I.Paradise Gods new Angel😇😇😇❤💙💖💕❤💙💖💕❤
