Jim Anderson - Canandaigua, NY - Rochester Cremation

Canandaigua, NY:  James Edward Anderson: January 26, 1927 – September 8, 2020.

Beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.  Predeceased by parents, Harvey W. and Ruth M. Anderson, first wife, Rosemary D. Anderson, and son, Kenneth J. Anderson.  Survived by loving wife of 37 years, Constance R. Anderson, children James E. Anderson Jr., Lauren Doyle (Tom), Matthew Anderson (Rose), Nancy Hakes (Steve), Marisa Jones (Scott), Christopher Madonna (Barb), grandchildren, Bryan, Nora, Taylor, Jeff, Melissa, Zach, Tori, Reed, Jackson and great grandchildren.

Jim was a very proud graduate of The Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering and served in World War II in the US Navy.  He worked in sales at Taylor Instrument for 34 years and several other companies after that until he retired. He was a very active participant in several theater guilds in the 70’s and 80’s.  He later resumed his childhood passion of model trains and was a member of the GGGRS train club.  We wish to extend many thanks to the wonderful staff at MM Ewing Continuing Care Center in Canandaigua for their loving care of Jim this past year.

Calling hours will be on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 from 3:00 – 5:00 followed by a service to celebrate his life from 5:00 to 6:00 at Crosswinds Wesleyan Church located at 3360 Middle Cheshire Road, Canandaigua, NY 14424, the service will also be livestreamed for those not able to attend in person. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Ontario Yates Hospice or the Salvation Army.
