Hamlin: James H. Fischer, 82, passed away Monday, May 8, 2017. Jim was a Navy Veteran, Retired Volunteer at the Barnard Fire Department, and a Retired member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary. Beloved husband of 59 years to Barbara (Vermeire) Fischer, loving father of Linda (Robert) Najjar, James D. (Agnes) Fischer, and Thomas (Kristin) Fischer. Jim also leaves behind 3 siblings, 7 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Private funeral services were held on Wednesday, May 10th. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Irondequoit Community Cupboard, Inc.
