Jeanie Dillard

Jeanie Dillard - Rochester Cremation

(June 21,1952-August 22, 2022)

Jeanie Mae Dillard, wife of Elder Peter Dillard, went to be with her Heavenly Father early August 22, 2022. God graciously granted her desire and ushered her into her eternal rest at home in the presence of family, knowing that she was loved and cared for.

While she was a young girl she and her father moved to Utica, New York to live with her new stepmother, affectionately known as Elder Bennett.  She remained in Utica throughout her teenage years until she met and married the love of her life, Peter.   They were only kids in 1970 when they married and began their nearly 52-year life together.  To this union was given two children:  Anita S. (Dillard) De La Cruz and Brian J. Dillard. Their family unit later included nephew Calvin L. Dillard.  Jeanie lived life and loved being with family.  They have always been a close family and spent a lot of time together.  Jeanie shall be dearly missed.

Memorial Service for Jeanie will be held on Saturday September 17, 2022, at Church of God By Faith located at 230 Adams St. Rochester NY.  Service begins at 11 a.m.

I sadden and shock to just now hear of the passing of my sister & friend Mrs Jeannie Dillard.
I have known Peter (Jerome) his wife Jeannie, children Anita and Brian over 40 years.
I first met them at the church on weld street while married to Dorothy Washington.
We were instantly friends and did many things together as couples.
Had I know Jeannie had passed, I definitely would have been there for my brother Peter.
God bless the entire Dillard family and comfort you all as you mourn for Jeannie.
She is with her father God in his kingdom no longer bothered my the confinments of this world.
Rest well my sister, I hope to see you again and my Lord & savior calls me home.
    God bless!
