I’m so sorry to lose one of my most favorite cousins. He always cheered me up when I needed it most. He just never knew how often that happened, especially at work!

Jake, if you’re listening, I’ll say this out loud…..I love you, buddy and I’m sure going to miss you! Just so you know, Evelyn doesn’t do computers lately but she can’t stop talking about you. She loves you, too – as does the rest of the family. We will never forget! Hope to see you not too far down the road, if I’m blessed.

    To Jake’s Family:

We will all miss Jake – a great story teller! I have fond memories of Jake at Bloomfield Central – playing well in all sports. I remember as a teenager, being so impressed to see Jake pick up two milk cans and place them on the back of the milk truck, all in one smooth motion.

My heart-filled sympathy to all –

Almost all of my memories from my first years in Cheshire include Jake! I first met him in the late 70’s while working the counter at the old Company Store (Skip’ s Superette location), where he and “the boys” hung out, every morning, drinking coffee and solving the world’s problems! I cherish those days and the way Jake always had a story, but mostly the way he made people feel! His kindness, warmth and mischievous sense of humor made us all smile! I will always think of him with love and laughter, they just don’t make them like that anymore! Peace and love to the entire family, he will be missed.
