Webster, N.Y. – Jill died peacefully Tuesday morning, August 18th at age 56, after a life-long battle with cancer. Jill was an inspiration to all who knew her. Jill’s smile, kindness, and her loving nature are what everyone remembers most about her.
Jill was born on Staten Island, NY, grew-up in Kingston, NY, and lived in Webster for 22-years with her husband of 34 years (Ken), and children (Arielle & Matthew). Jill was an amazing person who put others before self, she loved her ‘puppies’, birding, knitting, gardening and just spending time with her entire family, friends, and many coworkers.
Jill was an avid NY Mets fan, and traveled yearly to various ballparks to see her Mets play. Jill was also visited Maine annually, and absolutely loved Acadia/Mount Desert Island – which she called her ‘Heart’.
Jill will be missed by her husband Ken, children Arielle & Matthew, her mother-in-law Marie, sisters (in-law) Deborah, and Tina, and brother (in-law) Robert, many nieces, and nephews – all of whom loved her very much. Jill is also survived by her Mother (June Wessman), and brother (Jimmy Wessman).
Thank you to the wonderful, loving staff at Highland Hospital East 5 for their compassionate care, and assistance helping Jill find her way home.
I don’t have words for how I feel about Jills passing. Jill was a light to everyone she encountered. Jill loved deeply and if you were lucky enough to be in her life you know how wonderful that felt. I will miss Jill with all our yarn talk, birds, gardening and her reminders to put out my hummingbird feeder 😊. All my love to Ken, Arielle, and Matt. 💕
One of the most kind hearted people I ever knew. Her compassion and for her patients and friends was amazing. Jill loved her constellations of stars, and I know there is new bright star shining down on her family now and forever. She is deeply missed….
I worked with Jill at HH. I loved talking with her about our families. She was a beautiful light – friendly and a true team player. My prayers to her family – she is deeply missed by all who knew her. Rest in Peach Jill. One of the kindest persons I have known.
My coworker, friend and family for the last 16 years. There is no way to express the loss and how much I will miss you. I promise to carry on our silly echo shenanigans that only we understand. I am at peace knowing you will not suffer another day. Say hi to your dad and I hope you brought some paint and brushes for you and grandpa to paint with. I know they missed you too. Forever in my heart.

Her pups gave her such joy and she shared it with many. – My prayers continue for her family. Rest in peace, you will not be forgotten!
