Rochester, New York: October 12th, 2022 at age 95. She is survived by her son Barry (Carol) Steger and daughter Cheryl Ciminelli (William Fitzgerald). Predeceased by her grandson Edward Steger. She is survived by her grandsons Nicholas Ciminelli (Tobin Trahan), Jason Ciminelli (Kelly White), Christopher Steger (Lisa). Several great grandchildren, and several great, great grandchildren.
She was born, and raised in London, England and came to America as a WWII bride at the age of nineteen. She had a career of working with Peter G. Nicholas DDS for thirty-five years. Joan had a love of music, and sang in the church choir at St. George’s and Church of the Ascension for many, many years. She was also a member of the Greece Choral Society. She loved reading, watching Jeopardy, but most of all she loved spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed.
A private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Joan’s memory to Parkinson’s Foundation for a cure.
Sending condolences to the family of Joan Steger. I knew Joan through her working with Dr. Peter Nicholas who was my dentist in Greece for many years. Joan was so professional and we had lots in common since we both were active in choral singing groups. I have many fond memories of dear Joan. May she rest in peace.
