Wolcott, NY: Joanne passed away peacefully Sunday, March 28, 2021 surrounded by her family. Predeceased by her parents Raymond & Dorothy Geier. Survived by her husband of 44 years Paul H., sons Paul J., James (Laura), grandchildren Anna, Catherine, Samantha, Andrew. Brother Michael (Carol) Geier, Sister Susan (larry) Mattle, numerous nieces & nephews, brother-in-laws & sister-in-laws, and many ,many long time close friends.
Joanne retired in 2014 from Rochester Obstetrics & Gynecologic Associates. She deeply enjoyed her special days with her grandchildren, family gatherings, meals together and shopping trips to Wegmans. She recently moved from Penfield after 37 years to Port Bay, NY and was enjoying her new home on the water.
A special thanks to the team at RGH SICU 8th floor for their caring treatment of Joanne.
The family is planning a remembrance Celebration of her Life on July 3rd, 2021. Details to follow.

One of the first people I met when I bought a cottage on Port Bay. Joanne (& Paul) always welcomed me as if I were family, the many times I crossed the street to say hello. She was so genuinely kind and happy all the time. Penny & I are really gonna miss you.

I remember Joanne well. We went to St. Rita’s and Mercy together. We rode the same bus. We have reestablished contact since our 50 year reunion was in 2019. I was glad to reconnect w/her. You have my deepest condolences. She was a kind, gentle girl/woman.
