Jodi Lynn Forrest - Rochester Cremation

Jodi Lynn Forrest October 25, 1967 – February 11, 2022.

Jodi Lynn Forrest (Jamalkowski), 54, of Rochester, New York passed away suddenly on Friday, February 11, 2022. Jodi is survived by her children, daughter Brittany (Ben) Little, and son Robert Forrest (Cassandra Golda); partner Willis Van Fleet Jr.; brother Rick (Brenda) Jamalkowski, nephews and nieces; and many loving relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Leo and Annie Jamalkowski; and sister Lisa Cuttitta.

She enjoyed her career as a sign skills coach and loved the many students she worked with over the years at Rochester School for the Deaf, BOCES, and Holy Childhood. She also worked in local restaurants for years, where her love of food and people came together.

Jodi was extremely proud of her children and loved taking day trips with them around New York, rooting for the Buffalo Bills, and trying new restaurants.

Whenever friends and family gathered together, Jodi was always the first to make sure there was more than enough food to feed a crowd. Her generosity, kindness, and sense of humor is remembered by the many lives she has touched.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Jodi’s name to the Patricia Allen Fund Benefiting John R. Oishei Children’s Hospital in Buffalo.

Calling hours will be held Saturday, March 5 from 10AM-12PM at Rochester Cremation, 1118 Long Pond Rd, Rochester, NY 14626. Memorial service will follow at 12PM.

How do you say goodbye to a life long friend? I know so many of us are feeling sadness and grief. Jodi was our best friend forever. We would raid her closet for outfits for the Friday night dances at the school. Our secret keeper she knew who our first boy crush was, we shared our first cigarette, our first beer. She celebrated all the things that were the joys of growing up. Who our first kiss was, our first break up and helped us move onto finding our next broken heart until we found the men we got engaged too, marriage too, we shared the joys of our children. She was our confidant. She was our cheerleader, music loving, dancing the night away, our laughter. Saying goodbye to our criss-cross pinky swear best friend forever is difficult. I love you dear friend forever and ever. You will be truly missed. 💔❤️
Brittany and Robert, my sincere condolences. Your mom and your grandparents were very kind to me, please know if you ever need anything I am here for you.
