John J Lockhart Jr - Churchville, NY - Rochester Cremation

Rochester, NY:  April 17, 2021, age 71. Predeceased by his parents, John (Sr) and Rosemary. Survived by his siblings, Donna (Michael) Deisinger, Don (Debbie), Larry (Michelle), Terry (Charlene), Randy (Elizabeth) and Scott(Rachel); Survived by his son John III (Kimberly); grandchildren Lauren, Madison, Luke Lockhart; Daughter Deeanne (Joseph) Noce; grandchildren Steven, Robyn Moutray (Varun Sundar); several nieces and nephews.

He was a retired Monroe County Sheriff and worked many years in the jail, transportation and as a highly respected firearms instructor. He continued to drive school bus, enjoyed fishing and spending time with family and friends.

Many thanks to the wonderful staff at Crimson Ridge, Baywind and the Hildebrandt Hospice care center for their compassion and care. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Rescued Treasures Pet Adoptions in John’s memory.

John’s Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, June 5th, 10:00 am at the Living Waters Fellowship, 85 Beaver Rd, Churchville, NY 14428.

    John was a wonderful friend and neighbor. He knew the names of the cats and dogs in the neighborhood and they all adored him.
    John and Cinnamon will be missed by the neighborhood, especially by Bandit.

    We will keep John in the Prayer List at St Rita’s Catholic Church.

    I like to thank the whole family for trusting John care to me my self and all the aids grew very fond of him. He was very special to us all. He is the only person that ever called me though out the day every day and pretty much just cause he cared.
    He was very kind to me and trusted me

    Such a well respected man! A true friend! I might ad the best boss to ever work for! Rest easy my friend,I hope the fish are biting in Heaven.
