John R. Gallagher, age 39, of Rochester, NY passed away on November 3rd, 2022. John is survived by his son, Ryan; former partner and friend, Victoria; his mother, Karen; his brother, Shane; Grandmother, Laura; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. John is predeceased by his father, Michael; his sister, Shannon; and his grandparents, Carol, Richard, and John.
Born in Milford, CT, John was the first of three children to Michael and Karen. John was a social butterfly and known to many. He had many friends growing up, whom he kept for life. He loved spending his time on the beach or snowboarding down a mountain. John spent much of his adult life working in construction or starting his own extermination business. He always took pride in the work he provided. In 2015, John welcomed his only son, Ryan, to the world with Victoria.
While John enjoyed his freedom, becoming a father was the greatest moment of his life. John was always teaching his son how to be the man of the house. He could be found cooking, cleaning, or sweeping the front porch. John was an amazing father, a loved son, brother and friend.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday November 19, 2022 at 10am at St. Rita Church, 1008 Maple Drive, Webster, NY 14580.
John will be buried beside his father and sister on December 3, 2022 at 11am at Mount Saint Peter Cemetery, 219 New Haven Ave, Derby, CT 06418. Burial will be in the back of the cemetery. As per his wishes, some of John’s ashes will be spread into the ocean at Walnut Beach in Milford, CT following his burial.
