To my brother John, I miss you dearly. The thought of you not being around has become reality. I am at peace knowing you are not suffering anymore. I believe you know how much I love you. Your smile, your idiosyncrasies and just your presence will be so greatly missed by all of us. Love you so, Cindy
So sorry to hear of John’s passing. I e known him for more than 30 years as we bowled at Empire Lanes and I was a regular at the Amerks games. He will always be remembered for his chant “He’s a Machine” and his happy go lucky approach to life. He will be missed. Our condolences to all his family and many friends.

Thoughts and prayers sent for you and your family
Thank You Susie
You welcomed me into your family with genuine love and respect.
You were a fixture at Frontier Field with your big smile and handshake.
I’ll miss ya but you live in my heart forever.
Adieu Mighty Hook
Thank you Bucky, he really did enjoy seeing everyone at the game. He always told me when he seen you,
Always in my prayers. Rest easy Mighty Hook, Ill remember you fondly.
Cindy and family,
My sincere condolences on losing John.
He was my friend and we were partners on third base at Frontier Field for years. I’ll never forget putting his scooter or bike in the back of my truck and giving him a ride home after those late finish games. We worked together for 40 years.
John loves playing cards before and after work at the War Memorial. I have good memories of the days we bowled together at Ladds. Those days John was happy having a cup of coffee and a Cigarette. Hockey playoffs tonight.
Rest In Peace, John
The Mighty Hook, He always liked you Danny.
RIP John. U were my usher in section 111 for 10 plus years Amerks season ticket holder. The nicest person i could ever meet.
This Jhon rode on my bus never really said much but always had a smile . I always made a point to sit in sections at the redwings game.
Thank you Don. I knew there had to be a driver who remembered that smiling guy.
I bowled with John, Roman, & Gary. Started out at North Park Lanes. Ended up at Empire Lanes. Our Team “The Cheap Bastards” was proud to be in last place. John would turn the sheet upside down, & say hey look were in first. So many memories with these guys. All good fun. I am sorry for our loss. Please Take Care, & know that you all are in my thoughts, & prayers.
Hi Randy, oh my God how he loved bowling with the Cheap Bastards! All my brothers spoke of you fondly. Thank you for your remembrance.
We bowled in the same league at Empire lanes. We called each other machines at bowling and when ever I saw him at the Red Wings games or the Amerks games. He was a fun guy to talk to.I will miss him.
Thank you for the note, He loved bowling. I used to drop him off every Tuesday night. I will miss him too
Thank you Sue
Cindy and Family
Sorry to see of Johns passing. I had the pleasure of bowling against john and the cheap bastards. I also had the pleasure of seeing him at silver, frontier field and the war memorial for the 40 years he was employed. Nobody smiled more than John or enjoyed the people he was surrounded by. He coined the phrase “He’s a Machine” at the bowling alley. Many of us were greeted with it when he saw us. May he rest in peace.
With sadness,
Joey Argento Jr
John was such a bright spot at Frontier Field. He greeted me each and every game day, before gates opened, with a smile and a “Hello!”…from the time I was an intern until my very last game on staff in 2019. His smile and his joyous nature will be greatly missed by those who were lucky enough to have known him.
