Uncle Joe, what can I say? You were always my favorite Uncle. I will never forget how much fun I had with you as a kid. You were always over visiting Grandpa and would always take time to play with me. I’ll never forget digging in the backyard with you or all of the Redwings games with you and Nicki. All the camping trips at Hamlin. And those Bills tailgates. Such great memories. I know that you’re in a better place now. Say hi to Grandpa and Grandma for me.

    Your nephew. TJ

Our youngest cousin is now out of our reach. Each of us have memories of him, as many different perspectives as we are individuals. One particular memory I have of him is where I told him I loved him and called him an asshole in the same sentence. He wouldn’t sit down in the chair I offered him even though he was standing with a cast on his leg. He was having a pity party for himself because no one wanted him to smoke around them at my brother Larry’s 70th birthday. He wanted me to know that. He started to laugh when I insisted he sit down, and then he flashed that gorgeous smile and then I knew he wasn’t mad at me for calling him an asshole!
