Joseph M. Liberatore - Henrietta, NY - Rochester Cremation

Joseph M. Liberatore of Henrietta passed away at home on May 1, 2020 at the age of 87. He was born and raised in Buffalo, NY. He moved to Rochester in 1962 and lived there until his death.

He was predeceased by his father Enrico, mother Margaret and siblings Fabiana and Dominic. He is survived by brothers Angelo, Enrico and Salvatore.

He is also survived by a loving family consisting of wife Sonia, daughters; Valerie Liberatore-Szeluga ( Eugene), Cristina Liberatore ( Jeffery Middaugh), Lisa Scott (Rob)

And Cynthia Liberatore. Grandchildren; Elizabeth Szeluga, Michael Hamlin, Justin Szeluga and Rosie Scott.

Joe was employed for 25 years in the Department of Respiratory Therapy, several of those years as department head. He then worked in car sales until retirement.

He loved cars and car races and frequently attended Daytona 500 races. He also loved football games and was a diehard Buffalo Bills fan. He attended an Honor Flight trip with his daughter Lisa and subsequently became involved in Honor flight activities and fund raisers.

Joe was known for his bigger than life personality: his quick sense of humor and his charismatic demeanor. He lived with passion- everyone knew what he loved and what he didn’t. He greatly enjoyed the company of his loving family and his life long friends. He will be greatly missed.

A celebration of his life will be arranged at a later date at the convenience of his family

    Dear Sonia and family: Im so sorry to hear about Joe. I will always remember his sense of humor! and helping me at the car dealership, whenever I had problems with my car.
    My deepest sympathy to you and your family.

    Dear Sonia, thank you for taking such good care of Joe. I loved my brother dearly. I enjoyed having him on the Bench with me at the bills games. I am so happy he was home with his family in the end. Brother Angela Liveratore

    Mr. Liberator gave me my first job in Respiratory care at strong and by coinsidence sold me numerous cars. He always had time for folks and a great sense of humor. You taught me alot and will always be remembered for his scheduled bored! May you rest in peace! Do they have car dealerships in heaven? All my sympathy to his family.
