On Saturday, June 15 th , 2024, Joyce Carol Stanley, age 81, passed away at the Penn Yan Manor Nursing Home.
Joyce was born on April 3, 1943, in Buffalo, NY. Joyce grew up in Cheektowaga NY. On October 27, 1962, she married Ronald (Sonny) Stanley. In 1973 the family moved to the Penn Yan area.
Joyce’s life was centered on her family and her faith. She spent much of her time gardening, preserving the produce from the gardens & taking care of their 5 children.
Joyce was baptized as one of Jehovah’s witnesses on February 17, 1973. She truly enjoyed the time she was able to spend in the ministry, telling her neighbors about Jehovah God and his promises for the future.
She was an independent sales representative for Avon at different times in her life. She spent 3 years selling in the early 70’s in the North Tonawanda area. Late in the 1980’s she again entered the ranks of Avon and spent the next 25 years building a successful business. She retired at the age of 70 and dedicated the rest of her life to the ministry.
Surviving family members, Daughter Ramona Ayres, Son Ronald (Peg) Stanley, Son Jeffrey Stanley (Jill Hoose), Daughter Kimberly (Jeffrey) Morsch. Grandchildren Bethany (Drew) Hall, Nathanael (Tashonta) Stanley, Sarah Stanley, Alyssa Stanley, Josiah Morsch & Noah Morsch. Great Grandchildren; Cayden Hall, Jalynn Hall & Colt Girruzi. Joyce was predeceased by her daughter Jennifer in 1989, her husband
in 1998, her son-in-law Michael Ayres 2024.
A memorial service will be held on July 21 st at 3pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. 1600 State Rt 54, Penn Yan, NY 14527
