Fairport, NY: Judith A. Godin, 74, passed away September 11, 2019, with her daughters by her side.
She was born on July 18, 1945, in East Orange, NJ. Judy graduated from Franklin High School with the class of ’63.
Judy is survived by her two daughters and son-in-law: Michelle Godin, of Fort Collins, CO and Jennifer and Bob Wells, of Phoenix, AZ. She is also survived by six grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and many dear friends.
Judy was an accomplished golfer and gardener. Over the years, she passed her love of the beach to her children and grandchildren, often spending family vacations on Cape Cod, MA. Judy was immensely proud of her family, and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories.
A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held on a future date.
I have only known Judy for a few years. When she came to help me clean my house she brought wonderful ideas on how to organize and work efficiently. But more than that, as soon as she entered my house, she brought her wit and charm. I will miss her.
She helped my husband by loaning her beer signs for a play at Blackfriars. She donated several other treasures for John to restore and use in the future.
Judy became a very dear friend to our family after she started cleaning my parents’ house. She is responsible for so many great memories and will be so dearly missed. Joelle Mulich Maurer
Mom. We love and miss you so very much. Words cannot express how hard it is to have lost you so quickly. There were so many things left to do—trips to the Cape and the desert, the boys graduation, kissing your great grandchildren. We just ran out of time. Always in our thoughts and in the recesses of our minds. We love you.

We met Judy about 11 years ago, before our younger son was born, when neighbors recommended her to clean our house. Since then, she became a part of our family and a good friend to all of us. She watched our sons grow and always talked about her own grandchildren. Our crazy dog adored her too – he was always so excited when she came over! Judy was a wonderful, hard-working, kind person and will be missed by many for her friendship.
Michele and Jen, I am so saddened to hear of your moms passing. It has been many years since we worked together but we talked periodically over the last few years. Ive always loved chatting with her, you could talk with her for hours. She was a great lady with a big heart and will be dearly missed.
Michelle and Jennifer, I’ll always remember the good times that we had together. Love Dad.
Judy and I met once, a few years back, while I was walking my dog in Perinton Park. We struck up a wide-ranging conversation; I had hoped to enlist her help with my house. That short meeting revealed a warm, wonderful human being. I lost her contact info, but remembered her immediately when I saw the recent sad news with her beautiful photo in the paper. Please accept my deepest sympathies for your loss.
Judy I can’t believe you are no longer here!! You were always there for me during some of the hardest times in my life and YOU always told me to follow my heart and it will happen! I did just what she said and that’s when I married my soul mate.
