June Theresa Cunningham (Scheid) entered eternal rest on Friday, October 27, 2023. The fifth of 8 children, she was born to Victor and Ruth Scheid on Tuesday, December 7, 1948. Raised in Rochester, NY, she was proud to be in the first graduating class of Bishop Kearney High School in 1966 and went on to work for the post office and to do data processing for the county.
June met and married Raymond Cunningham, Sr. and together they had two children Ray Jr. in 1985 and Moira in 1987. June was known for her service to others, her kindness, and love for all. This was displayed through her many years of service to Monroe County as a social worker. Where her coworkers knew her to be dedicated and generous. She retired in the early 2000s and spent the remainder of her days serving and loving her children and grandchildren.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her son Raymond Jr. (Jasmine), her daughter Moira, grandchildren Cairo, Davion, Joseph “Royal”, Juewlz, Corey, Jr. “CJ”, and Raymond III “Tre”. Her siblings Richard, Jean, Jane, and David. Her best friend and confidant Lana. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and acquaintances.
Her legacy of love continues through each of these individuals, and she will be dearly missed by all.
