Kenneth Harold Luby, Sr.

Owego:  June 25, 2014 at age 63.  Ken is predeceased by his father, Thomas Luby and mother, Loretta Sczepaniak.  He is survived by his son, Kenny Luby; daughter, Jill (Joshua) Luby Stoltz; and daughter, Analise Luby Catala; five grandchildren, Vincent Catala, Jackie Catala, Thomas Catala, Riley Catala and Dylan Catala. Ken was also survived by his brother, Thomas (Eileen) Luby; brother, Wayne (Cathy) Luby; former wife and dear friend, Ann Lewis; loving mother-in-law, Vivian DeWitt along with many loving nieces and nephews, cousins and cousins-in-laws; many loving friends of Bill W.

Ken is a Veteran of the United States Army and served out country on the Vietnam War.  In his spare time he loved music, art, playing around with his “BOYS” (dogs) MAX and DAMON, and making his house look nice.  Kenneth is the owner of The Owego Painting Company, LLC.

A Celebration of Ken’s life will be held at his house, 78 School House Road, Owego NY on July 20th at 12:00pm.  Memorial contributions, along with flowers can be sent to 78 School House Road, Owego NY 13827 or to the ASPCA.

    What a great man Kenny……the laughter, smiles and simply the most positive man I have ever met. We will surely miss running into you at every corner in owego. Our sympathys to all the family on these very sad days.

    We are devastated by the news of Ken’s passing. He was a lovely man and neighbor. We too shall miss his cheerfulness, his smile, and running into him in Owego. So, so sorry. Our best to his children and all the members of Ken’s family.

    A truly wonderful man has left us: Owego’s best painter, (neatest, too); and we have lost a very dear friend as well. Ken was a kind and gentle man, one of the few who always had the time for a smile and a little conversation, no matter where we met. We miss him very much, already. Carolyn and Tom

    I am so sorry to hear of Ken’s passing. What a wonderful man. He was a friend to us as well as a wonderful painter!

    Our home looks beautiful due to Ken’s meticulous work.

    He was a very kind man who will be missed by many.

    My thoughts and prayers go out to Ken’s family.
