Linda passed away peacefully on Monday, July 8th 2024 at the age of 82.
She was thankful and blessed for the love and warmth that surrounded her before her passing. Linda was born in Niagara Falls, graduated from La Salle High School in 1960, received a bachelor’s degree in German and English from The Ohio State University in 1964 and a master’s degree in early childhood development from Nazareth College.
Linda is survived by her husband of almost 60 years Dennis Gerbasi; daughter Laurelle Cancelli (Tony); son Greg Gerbasi (Shannon); grandchildren Adam and Maria Gerbasi; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Linda was a leader of her church and the founder of Faith Child Care and Nursery School in 1986. She had a passion for educating and caring for children especially teaching them the joy of music and leading the Christmas program. Linda was an accomplished pianist whose love of music touched the lives of the members of her community. One of her favorite songs to play was ”Jesus Loves Me This I Know”. Linda was known for her love of cooking and hosting all her family and friends at their cottage in Honeoye. She loved spending her days there, tending to her beautiful flowers, spending quality time with her family, and playing in the water. Linda’s laugh could fill a room and was contagious . She will be missed by everyone that knew her.

There will be a Celebration of Life at Faith Lutheran Church 2576 Browncroft Blvd Rochester, NY 14625, Saturday July 20th at 12pm.
