Canandaigua, NY: October 16, 2020 at age 77 passed away peacefully. Lucy is predeceased by her husband Donald Barkley SR, daughters Lorrie and Wendy and sisters Dorthea and Janet. She is survived by her sisters Peggee (Kenneth) and Sue, son Donald Barkley Jr and Fiancee (Marlene), daughter Merry (Michael) Bloss; grandchildren Jessica, Elizabeth, Sean, Amber, Matt (Sabrina), Zachary (Nicole), Jonathan, eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Lucy was born on June 28, 1943 in Clyde, NY to James and Mary Strong. She worked for the Canandaigua VA medical center and LifeTime Care as a Home Health Aide for many years. She loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren, playing cards and gardening.
The celebration of life will be held in the spring at the family’s conveniences. In lieu of flowers, please donate to The American Diabetes Association at www.diabetes.org/diabetes/donate
