On Tuesday, June 13, 2023, Manuel S. Martinez, a loving and caring Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, Cousin, and Friend, passed away at the age of 80. He resided in Rochester, New York. Born in Santiago, Chile to Manuel Martinez and Aida M. Carrasco. A tradesman and handyman. His knowledge, wisdom, strength, humor, and love will never be forgotten. He was always there for his family. A true gentleman and nurturer. He always attended his daughters and grandchildren’s school activities. The support and encouragement were endless. He was the go-to person to discuss any topic, give advice, or help. He loved to travel. He had quite the sense of humor, always happy, and loved dancing to rock ‘n’ roll and La Cueca with his spouse. He loved his Golden Retrievers Reina, Henry, and Finn. He enjoyed music, working on puzzles late into the night. He was a great cook and we all loved his Torta de Mil Hojas. He generously welcomed anyone to his home.
He is survived by his Wife, Betty Martinez, Daughter, Peggy Hobbs and her Spouse Michael Hobbs, Evelyn Martinez and her Spouse Reynier Ordunez, Brother, William Martinez and his Spouse Marisol Martinez-Solis, Niece, Linda Kelly and her Spouse Sean Kelly and Marisol Gabriela Martinez, Nephew, Roger Rouse and Andres Martinez, Grandfather to Delancey Hobbs, Danyon Hobbs, Declan Hobbs, and Aliyana Ordunez. Loved by family and friends, especially the Ruiz Family in Canada, Tia Gabriela along with his many cousins and friends in Chile. He will live in our hearts and memories forever.
In lieu of flowers, please send Wegmans gift cards to his Spouse, Betty Martinez.
Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, June 17th, 2023, 8:45 AM at St. Louis Church, 64 S Main St., Pittsford, NY 14534.
