fleur de lis 2On Wednesday, March 22nd Marguerite, 78, reunited with the love of her life George Thompson to join him at the table with our heavenly father. She is now with her mother Elise Jane Gilles, father Marie Jean Gilles, brother, Paul Auguste Gilles and brother-in-law Duke Osborne. Marguerite is survived by her twin daughters Nadia and Denise Thompson, her sister Elise Osborne and many nephews, nieces, cousins .and host of loving family members and friends.

Her love for God, our father was evident in every aspect of her life. She was a true light of Christ to family, friends and strangers. Marguerite was a loving wife, mother and friend to all.

Please join the family Saturday, April 1st from 8-10am for calling hours and 10am for services at St. Mary’s of the Lake Church in Watkins Glen celebrated by Father Paul and Deacon Tom.

In lieu of flowers, Marguerite and family request a donation to the National Stroke Association or the National Kidney Foundation or the American Cancer Society or to your local animal shelter in her memory.

    My heart aches for the loss of my dear friend. Even though miles and years have separated us you were and always will be in my heart along with your beautiful daughters, Nadia and Denise. I know you are happy now reunited with your one true love, George. Love to you both.

    My husband, sons, mother and I are so saddened about the loss of your amazing mother. She was such a sweet woman.     I had the privilege of observing one of the most loving families I have ever encountered when watching Marguerite with her husband, daughters, and other family. Those bonds cannot be broken. Know you have my love and support in your time of need. I’ll never forget how you were there for me.

    Sorry I got these sad news very late. i am one of the deceased cousin from France and wish I could have got in touch much sooner. My aunts and grandmother were quite close to Marguerite’s mother. My thoughts and prayers to her and her daughters.
