Williamson NY: March 16, 2016. Marilyn was a nurse for 43 years. A graduate of the Arnot Ogden Hospital School of Nursing, she started out her career in Burlington Vt and Olean Ny before coming to Rochester where she worked at The Genesee Hospital for 32 years until it closed. She then worked at Park Ridge Hospital until she retired in 2006. She is predeceased by her Husband, Edward, Her parents: Herman and Virginia, and her sister Marcia. Marilyn is survived by her sons; Bryan (Loralie) and Darren, and her grand children Arthur and Victoria. Marilyn enjoyed singing with the Lake Effect Chorale and the Williamson United Methodist Church Choir, playing with the Williamson United Methodist Church Bell Choir, Fostering rescued cats with her family, cheering on her grand children’s cheer teams, and being “Nana” to Arthur and Victoria.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like to have donations made in Marilyn’s name to either: Williamson United Methodist Church PO box 172 Williamson NY 14589, or Kitten Korner Pet Rescue 6 Barben Circle Mendon NY 14506.
Memorial Services will be held at 6 pm on Saturday April 2nd at Williamson United Methodist Church. Interment will be held at Mt Hope Cemetery Friendship NY.
