Mark Edward Giovati

Mark Edward Giovati - Rochester Cremation

Early on the morning of Saturday January 14th, Mark Edward Giovati passed away at the age of 69. Mark was born in Brooklyn, NY on July 18th 1953, astrologically, very much a Cancer sun!

He pursued a career working as an electrical engineer with Kodak. Mark was very intelligent. He could take anything apart and rebuild it from scratch. He loved watching football, The Giants were his favorite team. He loved animals, all animals, he probably never met an animal he didn’t like… Or want to bring home!

Mark had a great sense of humor, one of his favorite jokes was “I’m so old, I’m the reason dinosaurs went extinct. I forgot to feed them!” He could easily bring a smile to anyone’s face. He was real salt of the earth, a beloved friend and father to three children; Mary Jonas, Jake and Amy Sayre Giovati. He will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will be held on, Friday January 27th, from 3:00pm-6:00pm at the Woodside Lodge at Black Creek Park in Chili, NY. Flowers or donations may be sent to 710 Jamesville Ave Syracuse, NY 13210. Donations collected will be given to The Brook at High Falls nursing home in Rochester.

Our fathers were dear friends and you were always so nice to me in high school. I will always remember you as being a kind and wonderful person. I have been sending you messages quite a few times on Facebook but now I know why I did not get answers. I hope you rest in peace. Love you always.

I mirror what Nancy said. My father as well was close to Mark’s dad. Mark was a good friend in high school. Always friendly with a joke and a smile. The years were not kind to him. So sad.
