After her short, brave battle with cancer, Mary Lou passed away on September 4, 2023 at the age of 76 with her Husband Walt, of 50 years, by her side at the UR Medicine Palliative Care Center.
Mary Lou was born on April 9, 1947 in Idaho Springs, Colorado and is predeceased by her parents Edward Joseph Minardo & Arletta Dillon Minardo; Sister Judith Eileen Minardo. Mary Lou is survived by Her Husband Walter Sadler, Her siblings James (Suzanne) Minardo, Edward (Kathleen) Minardo, Her Nieces & Nephews Nicole (Jose) De Los Santos, Corey Minardo (Theresa Zollo) Amy (Andy) Merkel, Luke (Danielle) Minardo, Her Great Nieces and Nephews John Lyons, Brooklyn & Emiliana De Los Santos, Logan Minardo. As well as by her Sister in Law, Patricia Sadler and many beloved cousins and friends.
She was a graduate of Nazareth Academy High School in Rochester New York, and shortly after graduating she moved to Baltimore, Md. where she met and married Walt. There she worked at the Harry Cohen Insurance Agency for many years. When she retired from the insurance business, Mary Lou and Walt returned back to the Rochester, NY area to be back closer to her family.
Her talent and love for Knitting and crocheting at home as well as her Weekly Sit & Stitch group at the Webster Public Library kept her hooks and needles busy. Many of her hand made creations were donated to various charities throughout the years. Mary Lou and Walt enjoyed their many travels to Ocean City, MD as well to Gettysburg, PA.

I will truly miss Mary Lou. She was a dear friend. I was the recipient of some of her marvelous socks.. I’ve not been at the library lately and had no idea she was sick. .Dear Walt: she loved you so very much. It is only natural to grieve such a great loss, but we must remember: Joy comes in the morning ! We will be together soon. May Poppa Gd give you His promised comfort and strength. May her memory be a blessing.
