Mary Eva (Petryszak) Smith, 62, loving mother and treasured friend, passed away after a long, courageous fight with cancer on 12/19/16 at a Journey Home in Greece, NY. Survived by her two biggest joys; her daughters, Rebecca Smith and Christina Smith Dell (Ryan and Brody). Predeceased by her mother and father: Mary and Micheal Petryszak.
Mary was known for her strength, kindness, love, humor and her devotion to her children and others. She touched the life of everyone she met and all who loved her. May her memory be eternal.
In lieu of calling hours, all friends and loved ones are asked to join us Friday 12/23/16 from 5-8 pm to Celebrate Mary’s Life at Braddocks Bay Park Lodge 1, 199 E Manitou Rd, Hilton, NY for food, drinks and memories.

Mary was a most treasured friend for over forty years. So many memories were made over that time as we shared our lives with one another. That part of Mary will live with me forever. I thank God for her life. I will miss her greatly. I pray for the repose of her soul. I pray for her daughters, their extended families, and her cherished friends that their sorrow will be lightened in time and that the joy she created in her life will be what is remembered. I know Mary would want all to remember her with much love, and to smile when remembering. She gave so much of herself. She was a very inspirational woman, doing kind deeds as a way of life. Giving to others gave her great satisfaction. I hope her legacy is that she has touched the lives of so many others to follow her example. Again, Thank-you God for the life you gave Mary.
