Merri-Lizabeth Andreano, beloved Daughter, Sister, Mother, and Friend passed away peacefully on April 6, 2024 at the age of 63 in Rochester, NY. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, resilience, and wonderful memories that will be forever remembered.
Merri-Lizabeth graduated from Pittsford Mendon High School, and later obtained bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Nazareth College. She held several high-profile sales and management positions at American Express, IBM, and Target during her early career. Merri-Lizabeth eventually made a career change emblematic of her generosity of spirit and compassion. Over the last decade, she worked in senior and child care, touching countless lives in the process.
Merri-Lizabeth was magnetic: her dynamism, youthful exuberance, and penchant for flamboyant style drew everyone in the room to her. She loved unconditionally, and never judged. Whether it was the cashier at her favorite store, a new neighbor, or just a pretty girl she was hoping to set her sons up with – Merri-Lizabeth always treated those around her with unbridled affection, an insatiable curiosity, and a genuine openness to share her story and hear those of others.
Merri-Lizabeth is survived by her parents Filomano and Deanna Andreano, sister Kerri Mitchell, and sons Domenico and Phillip Donofrio – who she would often call the “greatest accomplishments” of her life.
A Celebration of Life service will be held in Ocean Isle Beach, NC on a date yet to be announced in May. Please reach out to the family for details.
