Rochester NY: At age 52 passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on January 17, 2016. Predeceased by his father Allan. He is survived by mother Karen Macking, daughters Jessica and Jennifer, ex-wife Patty Macking, and sister Laurie Gantnier.

He was supportive loving and down for fun! He was a good hearted man, and always took care of his daughters and his ex-wife. He always put in extra effort helping the family. Mike was always there for the family. And enjoyed many events with his kids. He always was telling jokes, talking trivia, and teaching everyone about music. He had a sharp mind, and made everyone around him sharper too.

We are celebrating and reminiscing his memory in a casual setting at the Elks Lodge in Webster NY at 1066 Jackson Road from 4-7pm Thursday, January 21st. All are welcome to bring the gift of love.

Patty and family, please know that our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. As you said, you have many memories of all the fun times you had. Cherish those memories. Mike was one of the good guys. He loved his family greatly.
Aunt Karen, I can’t imagine the ache in your heart, but you certainly have family and friends that will wrap their love and strength around you and the family at this time.

    Love You All,

It was exciting to go to West Point where he was born, and he gave me the title “Aunt”. Michael gave so much, thereafter, to all. He was so cute, fun and funny, full of jokes, and like a Map Quest @ driving. He and Patty made 2 beautiful daughters ,with some of his character, that lives on in them. He went through this life too fast and left us too young, but left himself in our hearts, forever, with the best and fondest memories. We Love You,
Aunt Coleen Uncle Jack and Cousins Dawn, John and Brian
